B PHARM (100 SEATS)
Vedic Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (VIPER), Sagar
The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) program at the Vedic Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Sagar was established in 2007 with the objective of providing quality pharmaceutical education and producing competent pharmacy professionals. The institute is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal.
The B. Pharm program is a four-year undergraduate degree that provides comprehensive knowledge in various areas of pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, and pharmaceutical analysis. The curriculum is designed according to PCI and university guidelines to ensure that students receive both strong theoretical foundations and extensive practical training.
The institute offers well-equipped laboratories, qualified and experienced faculty members, and a supportive academic environment that promotes learning, research orientation, and professional development. Graduates of the program are also eligible to pursue higher studies such as M. Pharm, MBA, or research programs, and can register as pharmacists as per regulatory requirements.
M PHARM
The Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) program at the Vedic Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (VIPER), Sagar is a postgraduate program aimed at providing advanced knowledge, specialized training, and research opportunities in pharmaceutical sciences. The program is designed to develop skilled professionals capable of contributing to the pharmaceutical industry, research organizations, healthcare sector, and academic institutions.
The institute offers M. Pharm in two specializations:
- Pharmaceutics – 12 seats
- Pharmacology – 15 seats
The course focuses on advanced concepts, modern pharmaceutical technologies, and research methodologies. The curriculum includes theoretical courses, laboratory practicals, seminars, journal club presentations, and dissertation research, enabling students to develop strong analytical and research skills.
Students in Pharmaceutics gain expertise in areas such as drug formulation, novel drug delivery systems, pharmaceutical technology, and industrial pharmacy. The Pharmacology specialization focuses on drug action, toxicology, experimental pharmacology, and evaluation of pharmacological activities of drugs.
The program also emphasizes research and innovation, where students undertake a dissertation project under the guidance of qualified faculty members. This research-oriented approach helps students develop scientific thinking and practical research skills.
D PHARM
D. Pharm Program Description
The Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) is a two-year diploma course designed to provide basic knowledge and practical training in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice. The program includes subjects such as pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, hospital pharmacy, and drug store management.
The course combines theoretical learning with laboratory practicals, enabling students to understand the preparation, dispensing, and safe use of medicines. It prepares students for careers in retail pharmacies, hospitals, and pharmaceutical organizations.
After successful completion of the program, students are eligible for registration as pharmacists with the State Pharmacy Council and may also pursue higher studies such as B. Pharm.
